The Habs and Canucks are tied at one goal apiece in the second period. Adam Gaudette has Vancouver’s goal, while Nick Cousins has Montreal’s own. Both teams have also goals overturned thanks to instant replay in the second period.

Hey, remember Jordie Benn? The former Hab has six assists in 34 games this season and is still looking for his first goal with his new team. The defenceman, whose brother plays in Dallas, spent three seasons with the Canadiens before leaving for Vancouver as a free agent this past offseason.

The Habs’ last effort didn’t go so well, to say the least. Montreal dropped a 2-1 contest against the lowly Detroit Red Wings in their final Bell Centre game of the calendar year, as well as the decade.

Carey Price is the Habs’ goalie for tonight’s game. Vancouver’s starter is Jacob Markstrom.
